TOTAL CARE PLAN
Comprehensive Care, One Fixed Price

The WineryConnect Total Care Plan (TCP) is a fixed price monthly service covering three critical capabilities (IT Leadership, Technology Build & Support, and Always-On Protection) needed to ensure solid IT Operations. In addition, we offer seasoned Professional Services, as well as a range of winery Commerce solutions we are expert in.
Total Care Plan Evaluation
The starting point is a TCP Evaluation. The TCP Evaluation is simply a set of in-depth discussions, between Sam Weiner, our Founder and vCIO, and key stakeholders in your winery. A couple highest level business/technology conversations are followed by formal Architecture, Service, and Risk assessments, leading to a Strategy Review.

You can get a good idea of how this works in an interview Sam did with the CEO of Humanize IT (the tool we are using to help guide these discussions):

Three Core Capabilities + One Premium Service
Based on the TCP Evaluation, we agree with each client on a TCP subscription rate to cover the solutions and services they require. TCP rests on four strategic pillars: three core capabilities, complemented by our premium Professional Services. The result is a uniquely virtuous cycle of continuous improvement in our ability to help wineries with technology. At the same time, we continually grow our specialized expertise in regulated winery Commerce.
1) IT Leadership

This is where Sam Weiner plays the role of Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) by bringing to bear experience gained in his 30+ year career in technology. A vCIO works to understand client business realities and leverage technology to help them navigate toward business objectives quarter over quarter and year over year.
The key (given that technology constantly changes) is to establish and maintain an Enterprise Architecture - a way to keep businesses maneuverable in terms of what business systems they use. An ultimate goal is to give management visibility to key metrics across operations even as business systems change.
2) Technology Build & Support
This is where we take on whatever technology project is needed. We select or build technology to meet client needs and then configure, deploy, and support. This includes firewalls, managed switches, long distance WiFi Bridges, server backup architecture, etc. The list goes on.
We learn systems as we need to and optimize our ability to remotely manage and monitor them. Key thing this list includes is our ability to build what we call Connections between cloud business systems using our CommerceConnect Fabric (CCF).
CCF is a proprietary data fabric we built in 2015 or so and have been using for a very small number of select clients since then.

3) Always-On Protection (Unlimited AOP Fortress)
AOP is really where the magic happens. The most important thing AOP includes, by far, is our Grape Squad support team. Our Grape Squad people have helped winery staff with IT for over a decade, and we understand the challenges they face.
Importantly, Grape Squad people are themselves supported by a magnificent set of technology systems we subscribe to which are called MSP Enablement systems. These systems enable us to do all the advanced, AI-enabled automation modern IT requires (Malware protection, Ransomware behavior monitoring, Workstation and Server remote management and monitoring, Backup, and so on).
The key difference between us and other IT support providers is that we know how to communicate with winery people around these technologies. The Grape Squad is a "Virtual IT Department" for wineries. We don't just help when things are broken - we are part of the winery family. We pro-actively take care of issues before they become problems, particularly on busy weekends (when most IT companies are off-line). Our mission is to Free Winery Staff to Make Great Wine and Engage Consumers.
